Position Summary
The Production Engineer is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and improving production operations to ensure optimal efficiency, quality, and output performance.
This role oversees daily production activities, analyzes key performance metrics, resolves process issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield and operational efficiency.
The position works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality, improve production flow, and support team development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production KPIs and operational performance
- Analyze defects and perform root cause failure analysis
- Improve production efficiency, yield, and workflow processes
- Support troubleshooting of production-related issues
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs
- Coordinate with maintenance, QA, and inventory teams
- Supervise and coach production leaders and operators
- Manage manpower scheduling and resource allocation
- Prepare production reports for management review
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in production engineering within manufacturing
- Experience in KPI monitoring and production reporting
- Strong background in quality control and process improvement
- Experience in team supervision and production support
- Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage
- PRC license is a plus
