Position Accountability Statement

The Product Marketing Manager is accountable for managing the execution of product marketing strategies and ensuring the successful market positioning of the company's products. This role is responsible for developing go-to-market plans, supporting product launches, and working cross-functionally to drive customer engagement and product growth.

Broad Responsibility Highlights:

  • Strategy Execution: Drive the execution of short- and long-term product marketing strategies by aligning marketing activities with product and business goals. Ensure integration of product marketing efforts across the business.
  • Go-to-Market Plans: Shape and implement go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, including market segmentation, product positioning, and communication strategies to ensure successful product launches.
  • Market Insights and Data Analysis: Demonstrate strong data analytics capabilities to derive insights from market research, customer behavior, and competitive analysis, using these insights to refine product marketing strategies.
  • Judgment and Decision-Making: Show seasoned decision-making ability by addressing challenges and optimizing product performance, ensuring effective marketing initiatives are implemented in response to market dynamics.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Anticipate market changes and risks while identifying growth opportunities, devising proactive marketing plans based on data-driven insights and competitive analysis.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage marketing budgets, develop product pricing strategies, and ensure that marketing investments are aligned with business goals and provide a positive return on investment (ROI).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, customer service, and digital marketing to ensure all efforts are coordinated and aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Influence and Negotiation: Demonstrate advanced influencing and negotiation skills, fostering collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and seamless execution of marketing processes, consistently improving workflows to optimize marketing initiatives and product performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track product performance and marketing effectiveness through dashboards, performance reports, and data analytics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Professional Qualification:

  • Skills: Strong background in product marketing, data analysis, and financial management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
