Product Manager

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Product Manager is accountable for the overall achievement of all their business and strategic objectives for the product category (Assets or Liabilities) assigned to them.

The Product Manager is responsible for the overall management of the assigned product category including the development of new products or services, management of existing products or services and business performance monitoring.

This role involves continuously ensuring profitability of product and market segments through conducting market research, identifying opportunities for market and product enhancements, creating product sales tools, co-creating market campaigns and programs, accomplishing reports and analytics, and ensuring that products meet all regulatory and internal management requirements. The Manager works closely with other departments to ensure successful product launches and effective product management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Management

• Lead the coordination with other teams/functions to develop and launch new products or manage existing products while ensuring excellent customer experience. These functions include IT, Finance, Sales, Compliance and other relevant functions.
• Secure the necessary approvals for product initiatives from the relevant committees or approving bodies.
• Develop new products or services and implement product enhancements and updates based on business, market trends, regulatory or audit, data driven insights and target market needs.
• Manage existing products or segments to ensure they remain profitable, competitive and aligned with business goals.
• Ensure excellent customer experience across product-related processes (e.g. product onboarding, product management from customer POV, etc.).
• Monitor product performance and spot processes, sales areas, or programs for improvement.
• Monitor competitive product offerings and pricing, and use competitive insights to develop or strengthen products.
• Provide training and back office support to sales teams on product features and benefits.
• Create sales tools to properly sell or market products to the right customer segments.

Collaboration for Product Programs

• Work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to identify target market, customer needs and product value propositions.
• Lead the development of product campaigns, activations, tie-ups or promos, and work with other functions or teams to successfully implement these product-driving programs.
• Collaborate with the Market Research POC to conduct market research to identify client needs and market opportunities.
• Ensures ALL requirements, regulatory or internal, are completed and approved.

Profitability

• Ensures product pricing and programs remain competitive yet profitable against target market and against bank standards.
• Develops or enhances product guidelines and policies to ensure income and profitability
