JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Privacy Compliance Consultant to oversee data protection, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This role ensures the company’s operations, processes, and systems comply with global privacy regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, and local data privacy laws) while minimizing legal and operational risks.
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Advise leadership and teams on data protection regulations and best practices.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk analyses on systems, processes, and vendors.
- Monitor compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other applicable privacy laws.
- Provide guidance on data sharing, retention, and cross-border data transfers.
- Support incident response, including data breach investigations and reporting.
- Conduct training and awareness programs for staff regarding data privacy obligations.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, HR, IT, Operations) to ensure ongoing compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, IT, or related field (Master’s or JD is a plus).
- At least 3–5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or regulatory roles.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and local data protection laws (Philippines Data Privacy Act).
- Experience with risk assessments, audits, and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or DPO certification).
