Job Description

The Performance Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing digital marketing initiatives that drive customer acquisition, traffic, and ecommerce revenue across the company's retail banners, ecommerce platforms, and brand channels.

This role manages and executes performance-driven marketing campaigns including paid media, digital acquisition, in-platform marketplace advertising, and CRM-based lifecycle marketing. The Performance Marketing Officer works closely with category marketing teams to amplify product launches, promotions, and campaigns through data-driven digital marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversion.

The role supports growth across Toby's Sports, runnr, and urbanAthletics retail banners, as well as ecommerce platforms, mono-brand ecommerce stores, marketplace shops, and future retail and digital commerce banners that the company may operate.

The Performance Marketing Officer is expected to manage and execute paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, and TikTok, as well as advertising within ecommerce marketplaces including Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.

The role also collaborates closely with the creative production team to develop and optimize advertising assets. The Performance Marketing Officer reviews campaign creatives, recommends improvements, and leads ongoing creative testing to improve campaign performance.

In addition, the role is expected to leverage AI-powered tools and marketing automation platforms to improve campaign optimization, marketing analytics, and team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute performance marketing campaigns across digital channels to drive traffic, customer acquisition, and ecommerce sales
  • Manage and execute paid media campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and other digital advertising channels
  • Manage and execute in-platform advertising campaigns across ecommerce marketplaces including Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop
  • Develop digital acquisition strategies that support product launches, retail promotions, and category marketing campaigns across Toby's Sports, runnr, urbanAthletics, and future retail and ecommerce banners
  • Drive traffic and conversion for both multi-brand ecommerce platforms and mono-brand ecommerce stores and marketplace shops operated by the company
  • Work closely with category marketing teams to amplify campaigns through paid digital media and performance-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the creative and production team to develop advertising assets optimized for performance marketing
  • Review campaign creatives and recommend improvements to messaging, visuals, formats, and calls-to-action to improve advertising performance
  • Lead ongoing creative testing, including A/B testing of visuals, copy, formats, and hooks, to identify high-performing ad creatives
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance using key metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, and conversion rates
  • Manage and execute CRM and lifecycle marketing initiatives, including email marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, and retention strategies with the help of the CRM / EDM Marketing Automation Coordinator
  • Manage marketing automation initiatives that support customer engagement and personalized communications
  • Analyze digital marketing performance and provide insights and reporting to support campaign optimization and marketing decision-making
  • Stay updated on platform changes, marketplace advertising tools, digital marketing trends, and emerging technologies that can improve marketing performance
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to support campaign optimization, marketing analytics, research, and operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or ecommerce marketing
  • Experience managing and executing paid media campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, and TikTok
  • Experience managing and executing advertising within ecommerce marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee, or TikTok Shop
  • Experience with CRM platforms, email marketing systems, and marketing automation tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and optimize marketing strategies
  • Experience with ecommerce marketing, marketplace advertising, and digital conversion strategies
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams to develop and optimize advertising assets is an advantage
  • Experience using AI-powered tools or automation platforms to improve marketing productivity and campaign optimization is an advantage
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
