Your Role
As an
Outside Plant Engineer, you will be the backbone of our back-office operations, ensuring that utility construction projects move from planning to completion seamlessly. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and you're up for the challenge.
In This Role, You Will
- Drive Project Flow: Support and manage detailed project plans across all construction phases, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Bridge the Communication Gap: Act as the primary link for field OPE Technicians, transcribing field data and technical notes using proper industry codes.
- Manage Tasks & Deadlines: Maintain high quality while meeting strict customer deadlines through diligent back-office task management.
- Problem Solve: Facilitate project meetings and troubleshoot issues as they arise to keep construction on track.
- Master Custom Systems: Utilize Microsoft Office and learn custom software to maintain accurate digital project records.

What You Need
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience as an Outside Plant Engineer (OPE) or in a similar technical support capacity.
- Technical Transcription: Ability to communicate effectively with field techs and accurately transcribe technical data into specialized systems.
- Software Literacy: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly master custom project management software.
- Attention to Detail: A track record of completing work with high quality and a focus on safety first in every plan you develop.
- Shift Flexibility: Must be comfortable working the Eastern Time (EST) Night Shift to align with US field operations.
