Job Description

Pacific Surgical, formerly Pacific Spine, was founded in 2005 as a medical device and equipment distributor focused on providing Filipino patients and surgeons with access to the best possible surgical technology.

Originally focused solely on the Orthopedic Spine segment, Pacific Surgical now operates five distinct divisions: Spine, Joints, Sports, Biologics and Medical Equipment. The Spine, Joints and Sports divisions focus entirely on novel, US made implants and devices, while the Medical Equipment division offers hospitals highly specialized capital equipment to meet their surgical needs. The Biologics division focuses on US made biologic products to treat conditions associated with aging or injury.

While Orthopedics is still the key driver of Pacific Surgical's success, making up over 70% of gross sales, the company has ventured into other areas such as General Surgery, Neurosurgery, OB GYN, Laparoscopy and Surgical Simulation.

The Role

The Orthopedic Technician is responsible to provides technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of standard orthopedic practice and assisting in routine surgical procedures. All work is performed under the supervision of a physician or appropriate licensed practitioner.

Lastly, responsible as inventory custodian to their assigned territory and ensure safekeeping of PSI orthopedics products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Attends surgical procedures in operating rooms of hospital accounts to assure customer and patient success with PSI orthopedics products.
  • Ensures proper and timely sales ordering and submission of required documentation needed for sales process and collection in accordance with Company's policy and procedure.
  • Investigate and report any discrepancies found in inventory.
  • Reporting of defective products discovered.
  • Check date sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal & transfer of product as needed.
  • Coordinate closely with customer service & logistics department.
  • Timely submission of case reports (product used in cases)
  • Has a wide-background in overall inventory management processes.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing or any four- allied medical course.
  • Fresh graduates with genuine interest to learn and succeed are welcome to apply.
  • With at least 1-2 years of experience in handling/operating medical equipment/ device technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of standard orthopedic practice.
  • Must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate, result-oriented, self-motivated, positive and proactive.
  • Willing to travel and do field work as required.
