General Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation and Resolution Officer to ensure the integrity of our financial data. You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies across high-volume accounts and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is a financial detective who enjoys untangling complex data breaks and implementing long-term process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations between internal ledgers, bank statements, and third-party platforms.
- Investigation & Resolution: Identify breaks or discrepancies; conduct root-cause analysis to resolve issues and ensure all open items are cleared within SLA.
- Reporting: Maintain aging reports for unresolved items and provide regular updates to management on risk exposure.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with Tech and Finance teams to automate manual reconciliation steps and reduce recurring errors.
- Compliance: Ensure all reconciliation activities adhere to internal controls and external regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 35 years in Accounting, Finance, or Operations (or other functions that perform high-volume reconciliation)
- Technical: Advanced Excel skills are a must; experience with Accounting or reconciliation software is preferred (Netsuite, Quickbooks, etc.)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Mindset: Sharp analytical thinking with an uncompromising attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Communication: Strong ability to explain financial variances to stakeholders across different departments.
