The Medical City Iloilo is seeking a qualified Cardiopulmonary Clinic Nurse at Festive Walk Iloilo who will play a vital role in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. This position supports physicians in providing quality outpatient care through patient assessment, diagnostic assistance, health education, and clinical coordination while upholding the highest standards of patient safety and service excellence.
What's the Role All About
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform initial patient assessment, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for consultation, diagnostic procedures, and physician examinations.
- Assist cardiologists and pulmonologists during clinic consultations and minor procedures.
- Perform and assist in diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiogram (ECG), pulmonary function tests (PFT), pulse oximetry, and other cardiopulmonary diagnostic services as required.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and nursing interventions in accordance with physician's orders and hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication compliance, lifestyle modification, smoking cessation, and proper management of cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
- Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation of patient records, nursing interventions, and diagnostic results.
- Ensure proper preparation, calibration, cleanliness, and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, diagnostic schedules, and follow-up care with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, quality standards, and hospital policies.

Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
- With at least one (1) to two (2) years of relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in a Cardiopulmonary Clinic, Cardiology, Pulmonology, ICU, CCU, ER, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical Unit, or related specialty.
- Training or certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in patient assessment, ECG procedures, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, emergency response, and patient education.
- Proficient in documentation and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Willing to work in an outpatient clinic setting at The Medical City Iloilo – Festive Walk.
