Position: Network Engineer
Location: TGU Tower, Cebu IT Park
Job Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing network security solutions that meet client requirements, whether onsite or remotely.
- Responsible for installing and configuring network & security devices such as routers, firewalls, switches, wireless controllers, access points, etc.
- Responsible to document network configurations, including IP addresses, network topologies, and hardware and software versions.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including firmware updates, patch management, and configuration changes.
- Perform daily monitoring for network infrastructure and security issues using network management tools and systems.
- Monitor network security events and respond to potential threats.
- Respond to alerts and incidents, diagnose problems, and take corrective actions to minimize network disruptions.
- Investigate network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with other teams to resolve network and security issues, ensuring resolution within SLA.
- Escalate critical incidents to higher-level support or specialized teams as needed and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive records of network incidents, changes, and resolutions for future reference and reporting.
- A member of a team of engineers that performs 24x7 standby duties on a rotational basis.
- Handle after office hours escalation, if necessary, either onsite or remote.
- Required to attend vendor-sponsored training to ensure that product knowledge and skills are always updated.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other IT-related courses.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SDWAN)
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network-related roles is required for this position.
- CCNA certification is required.
- Experience in Networking Security solutions such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Sophos is required.
- Experience in Networking solutions such as Cisco, HPE, Juniper, Aruba, Dell, and Ruckus is an advantage.
- Willing to work after normal office hours during migration windows and project implementations.
- Able to communicate confidently and effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
