Job Description

The Marketing Officer is responsible for supervising the strategic execution of marketing initiatives across integrated platforms, focusing on brand communication, customer engagement, product promotion, e-commerce, and cross-functional campaign management to drive retention, revenue, and consistent brand execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Communication & Business Strategy
  • Implement and maintain brand strategies that reinforce identity and positioning across INQ Plus and other brands.
  • Supervise development of communication plans supporting editorial, advertising, and subscription goals.
  • Ensure consistent brand tone, messaging, and representation across channels.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing with business objectives and revenue strategies.
  • Review analysis of customer trends and market insights to refine direction.
  • Customer Retention, Growth & Experience
  • Design and manage campaigns to engage, retain, and reactivate users through loyalty and lifecycle marketing.
  • Enforce a consistent, positive customer experience across all brand touchpoints.
  • Inspect and monitor NPS and customer feedback to inform service improvements and churn reduction.
  • Product Management (INQ Plus)
  • Supervise marketing strategy and execution for INQ Plus and related digital offerings.
  • Work with product, tech, and editorial teams to develop messaging and refine the user experience.
  • Supervise user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure feature alignment with brand and user needs.
  • New Product & Project Development
  • Supervise market research, strategic planning, and business case development for new digital tools and content services.
  • Collaborate with innovation teams to take ideas from concept to launch.
  • Oversee and manage product lifecycle planning to ensure long-term viability.
  • Partner & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with media, advertising, and agency partners.
  • Schedule, negotiate and oversee co-marketing agreements, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
  • Monitor and report on partner performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Project Management
  • Oversee planning and delivery of cross-departmental marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Schedule project timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Inspect and maintain documentation and provide progress updates to leadership.
  • Budget Management
  • Guide and assist in marketing budget planning, tracking, and optimization.
  • Implement campaigns that meet financial goals and ensure ROI.
  • Review and monitor expenses and apply cost-saving strategies where appropriate.
  • E-Commerce & Digital Sales
  • Implement and manage e-commerce strategies for content monetization, subscriptions, and branded merchandise.
  • Oversee and optimize product listings, promotional calendars, and conversion strategies to boost sales.
  • Inventory & Merchandise Management
  • Monitor and manage inventory for marketing merchandise, promotional materials, and printed assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely production and delivery.
  • Oversee the creation and alignment of merchandising assets with brand standards and campaign goals.
  • Inquirer Plus Marketing
  • Monitor and supervise marketing activities promoting Inquirer Plus digital editions and subscriptions.
  • Coordinate with editorial, product, and partner teams (e.g., Press Reader) to enhance value and resolve subscriber concerns.
  • Guide efforts to increase platform visibility and subscriber growth.
  • Special Projects & Cross-Functional Initiatives
  • Guide and support events, branded content initiatives, CSR efforts, and product launches.
  • Supervise the marketing team in internal committees or innovation groups.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
