About the Role:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated Manual QA Engineer to join our Agile team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our insurance products through comprehensive manual testing.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution:
. Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
. Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
. Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
. Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and appropriate severity levels.
. Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of defects.
Agile Collaboration:
. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
. Provide feedback on requirements, test coverage, and potential risks.
. Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure alignment and quality delivery.
Documentation & Reporting:
. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date test documentation including test cases, test execution reports, and defect logs.
. Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and blockers.
. Ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
Quality Assurance Process:
. Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.
. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA methodologies and workflows.
. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
. 2-4 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
. Experience working with offshore teams is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
. Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.
. Hands-on experience in web and mobile application testing.
. Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman is a plus.
Soft Skills:
. Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
. Adaptability to changing priorities and commitment to continuous learning.
