Job Summary

The Learning Content Designer is responsible for transforming curriculum and instructional content into engaging, learner-centered instructional materials that are visually clear, pedagogically sound, and ready for classroom and digital delivery.

Working closely with Teachers/Subject-Matter-Experts, and the Content Production & Operations team, the Learning Content Designer develops high-quality lesson slides, teacher guides, worksheets, learning activities, short instructional videos, and other learning assets that enhance teaching and improve the learner experience.

The role combines instructional design, visual communication, content development, and light multimedia production to ensure that every learning resource is engaging, accessible, consistent, and aligned with approved curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Learning Content Design

  • Transform lesson plans and curriculum content into engaging instructional materials.
  • Design learner-centered lesson slides that support effective classroom instruction.
  • Apply instructional design principles to improve clarity, sequencing, pacing, and learner engagement.
  • Ensure content is appropriate for the intended grade level and learning outcomes.

2. Visual Learning Design

  • Create visually engaging instructional materials using appropriate layout, typography, hierarchy, color, and graphics.
  • Select or develop visual elements that improve understanding without distracting from learning.
  • Maintain consistency with organizational templates and design standards.

3. Instructional Material Development

  • Develop teacher guides, worksheets, activity sheets, assessments, facilitator resources, and other instructional materials.
  • Adapt content into multiple learning formats for classroom, blended, and digital learning.

4. Multimedia Production

  • Produce and edit simple instructional videos and multimedia learning assets.
  • Record, edit, and synchronize narration, animations, and on-screen content.
  • Prepare media assets for publishing on the learning platform.

5. Content Quality and Review

  • Review learning materials for instructional quality, accuracy, usability, accessibility, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
  • Address feedback from reviewers and incorporate revisions promptly.

6. Collaboration

  • Work closely with Curriculum Writers, Learning Leads, QA, Product, and Technology teams throughout the production process.
  • Participate in content reviews, sprint planning, production meetings, and collaborative design sessions.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend improvements to templates, instructional approaches, production workflows, and design standards.
  • Explore AI tools and emerging technologies that improve learning content development.

Qualifications

  • Background in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles
  • Excellent presentation and slide design skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools
  • Basic video editing skills (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, Camtasia, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Able to balance creativity with instructional effectiveness
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative production environments
