The challenge is:

The Project Manager for the Cloud FINOPS will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of cloud cost management initiatives within the organization. This role requires background in the FINOPS Framework, cloud cost optimization, and experience in finance management and cost reporting. The Project Manager will ensure that cloud financial operations align with organizational goals, drive cost efficiency, and facilitate transparent reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the FINOPS Project, managing cross-functional teams to deliver cloud financial operations objectives.
• Implement and maintain FINOPS Framework requirements to optimize cloud spending and ensure financial accountability.
• Develop, monitor, and report on cloud cost management strategies to drive cost efficiency and transparency across markets, banners and business units.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and operations teams to align cloud expenditure with business objectives and budgetary constraints.
• Produce detailed cost reports and analytics for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for savings.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations related to cloud financial operations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve cloud cost management processes based on industry best practices and FINOPS Framework updates.

Do you have experience as an IT Project Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, with proven track record in cost management and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of the FINOPS Framework and its practical application in cloud environments.
• Experience in finance management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated cost management tools.
• Relevant FINOPS or cloud cost management certifications are highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in cost analysis and reporting.
• Superior communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience managing projects and driving cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, MS Project).
• Ability to adapt to evolving cloud technologies and financial management practices.
• Ethical, accountable, and results-oriented approach to project delivery and financial operations.
