An Inventory Staff member is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate stock levels by overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. The role involves monitoring inventory, updating records, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency by preventing shortages, minimizing discrepancies, and supporting overall supply chain and logistics processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and track company inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Receive, label, and store incoming shipments properly
- Stock and distribute items while maintaining organized storage areas
- Maintain and update inventory records using software or databases
- Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply at all times
- Identify shortages or excess inventory and initiate restocking when needed
- Order new stock and coordinate with suppliers
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records
- Investigate and resolve inventory issues or variances
- Generate inventory reports for management and planning purposes
Job Qualifications
- Must be a 4-year college graduate
- Experience in logistics and inventory management is required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in inventory systems or database software
- Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies
