Job Summary
The Inventory Staff is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and monitoring of hotel supplies and materials. The role supports effective inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper documentation and storage procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify delivered goods against purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Organize and properly store food, beverage, operating supplies, and other inventory items in designated areas.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare replenishment requests to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Issue supplies to authorized departments based on approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock cards, and system entries.
- Monitor item movement, expiration dates, spoilage, and damaged or obsolete stocks.
- Ensure proper storage practices, including FIFO/FEFO procedures where applicable.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Cost Control, Receiving, and user departments regarding inventory requirements and discrepancies.
- Assist in investigating inventory variances and report unusual stock movements or losses.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper security of storage and inventory areas.
- Prepare inventory reports and supporting documents as required by the department.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, inventory procedures, and internal control standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.
