Position: Audit Officer (Internal Audit & Compliance)

Salary Range: PHP 25,000 35,000

WELCOME BANK (RURAL BANK), INC. is looking for a detail-oriented Audit Officer to join our Internal Audit and Compliance team. This role reports directly to the Internal Audit/Compliance Senior Officer and offers hands-on exposure to auditing activities across the bank, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to strengthen their audit and compliance expertise within a growing financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of operational processes and control systems to assess compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Review, analyze, and document audit findings, preparing clear and practical audit reports
• Work closely with different departments to evaluate risks and recommend process improvements
• Support the creation, enhancement, and rollout of internal audit policies and procedures
• Monitor updates in accounting standards, banking regulations, and compliance requirements
• Assist in strengthening the bank's overall audit and risk management framework

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 23 years of audit experience (internal or external), ideally within banking or financial services
• Solid knowledge of auditing standards, risk-based auditing, and regulatory compliance
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify control gaps
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination
• Working knowledge of applicable accounting standards and regulatory guidelines
• Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, or a related discipline
• CPA license or similar professional certification is an advantage
