The Internal Audit Officer supports the Internal Audit Manager in planning, executing, and reporting audit engagements across the Bank. The role ensures compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, while helping strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Audit Manager in planning, managing, and executing audit engagements in accordance with the approved audit plan
- Prepare preliminary audit findings and conduct entrance and exit meetings with auditees
- Draft comprehensive audit reports and submit final reports for review and approval by the Internal Audit Manager
- Review audit working papers and provide guidance to Audit Examiners and Specialists as needed
- Conduct special audits, investigations, and management-requested reviews
- Develop, update, and maintain Audit Program Guides (APGs)
- Ensure timely reporting and escalation of significant issues, risks, and control weaknesses to Audit Management
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job guidance to junior audit staff
- Ensure strict compliance with internal audit standards, internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Audit function
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, Audit, or related field
- 45 years of experience in Banking or Internal Audit
- Experience in conducting and leading audit engagements
- Good understanding of auditing, accounting standards, risk management, and internal controls
- Knowledge of banking operations, regulatory requirements, IT systems, and fraud investigation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
- Team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Willing to be assigned in either Makati or Bacoor, Cavite.
