Here's what you'll be doing:
- Responsible for developing the initial creative vision and overall aesthetic direction of a space. Prepares the foundation for detailed design.
- Develops creative interior space solutions that align with customer needs and company objectives.
- Conducts research on the clients physical office space and environmental factors that may affect day-to-day activities.
- Gathers project information on the clients industry, company background, values, and internal dynamics.
- Assesses and evaluates clients spatial needs and preferences.
- Anticipates and resolves project challenges, using critical thinking in creating proactive solutions.
- Creates high-quality design concepts, prototypes, and mood boards that reflect the client's identity and requirements.
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills by clearly articulating ideas, design concepts, and solutions to stakeholders and colleagues.
- Produces or leads the production of all required project documentation and deliverables, including floor plans, specifications, renderings, FF&E selections, and installation guidelines.
- Coordinates with internal teams, project managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure design intent is realized.
- Monitors project progress and addresses any design-related issues or adjustments proactively.
- Maintains accurate and organized project files, approval logs, and version-controlled documents for reference.
- Conducts persuasive and engaging presentations to facilitate design buy-in and influence stakeholders in a confident manner.
- Works effectively with teams and external partners while also taking independent initiative.
See if you fit the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
- 8+ yrs direct experience in the field of Interior Design, from conceptualization to project execution.
- Experience in working with high-end furniture and/or established design companies
- Currently holds a Senior Designer or Design Management position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess a high degree of assertiveness and creative confidence.
- Must be articulate and comfortable with public speaking and conducting presentations.
- Impeccable time management; uses their time effectively; sets important priorities.
- Demonstrates flexibility when working under strict and short time constraints.
- Working proficiency in a variety of software: CET Designer, AutoCAD, 2020CAP, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Working understanding of American building codes, regulations, ADA.
- Exceptional design knowledge, planning and creative skills.
- Must be open to a flexible work schedule, including working at night
