The Insurance Associate handles end-to-end intake and processing of Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability claims for US-based policyholders. The role requires accuracy, empathy, and strong attention to detail to ensure timely, compliant claim management and an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability claim submissions.
- Coordinate with policyholders, employers, and medical providers to obtain missing information.
- Document claim details, updates, and actions accurately in the system.
- Ensure claims meet US insurance guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding requirements and next steps.
- Escalate complex cases as needed.
- Meet productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
- Maintain data privacy and support team improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months BPO experience in Group Life Insurance with disability claim intake (Short-Term and Long-Term).
- High school graduate; college background preferred.
- Strong comprehension and documentation skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Willing to work on site, with shifting schedules, weekends, or US hours.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with claim-management systems or insurance platforms.
- Knowledge of US insurance terminology and compliance.
- Customer-service or client-facing experience.
