Job Description

Position Summary

The Insurance Associate handles end-to-end intake and processing of Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability claims for US-based policyholders. The role requires accuracy, empathy, and strong attention to detail to ensure timely, compliant claim management and an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability claim submissions.
  • Coordinate with policyholders, employers, and medical providers to obtain missing information.
  • Document claim details, updates, and actions accurately in the system.
  • Ensure claims meet US insurance guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding requirements and next steps.
  • Escalate complex cases as needed.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
  • Maintain data privacy and support team improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months BPO experience in Group Life Insurance with disability claim intake (Short-Term and Long-Term).
  • High school graduate; college background preferred.
  • Strong comprehension and documentation skills.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Willing to work on site, with shifting schedules, weekends, or US hours.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with claim-management systems or insurance platforms.
  • Knowledge of US insurance terminology and compliance.
  • Customer-service or client-facing experience.
