To provide technical engineering support, documentation control, and coordination for hydropower and dam construction projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with project timelines, HSE standards, and client expectations. The role supports field teams from the office and interfaces with design, procurement, and project management units.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate HSE requirements in technical submittals and plans
- Support implementation of HSE procedures across documentation
- Coordinate with HSE team for safety reviews
- Track compliance of design and procurement activities
- Support risk assessments through data gathering
- Monitor contractor and supplier submittals for adherence to specs
- Track construction progress vs. schedule
- Review QA/QC reports
- Support site inspections by analyzing technical records
- Maintain compliance checklist for project elements
- Assist in compiling technical content for training materials
- Document lessons learned for safety briefings
- Translate engineering lessons into training tools
- Participate in orientation for new staff or contractors
- Support training logistics and content review
- Facilitate flow of information between field and design teams
- Support coordination meetings with technical updates
- Manage RFIs and technical clarifications
- Track engineering change requests (ECRs)
- Engage with multidisciplinary project team members
- Prepare and consolidate technical reports
- Maintain updated project drawings, specs, and calculations
- Support documentation for design revisions
- Coordinate engineering logs and registers
- Support preparation of progress reports and presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hydropower or dam project engineering support.
- Experience in implementing and monitoring HSE strategies in infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with local and international HSE regulations.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proven track record in safety training coordination and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of hydropower and civil engineering principles.
- Thorough understanding of HSE standards and risk management.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competency in report writing and data management.
- Experience with project management and document control software (e.g., Aconex).
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
