Human Resources Manager

Clark, Philippines (Onsite)

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing strategies and programs for fair and competitive employee compensation, promoting optimal performance, and maintaining effective labor relations. The role also involves optimizing organizational performance and efficiency through effective human capital management and ensuring compliance with Philippine regulations. Additionally, the manager develops and executes human resource strategies to support the organization's business plan and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement HR efforts to support the organization's mission and strategic vision. Review and recommend improvements for personnel policies, procedures, and practices to executive management.
  • Serve as a strategic business advisor to senior management on organizational and management issues. Collaborate with the leadership team on HR and Employee Relations aspects of operations and business strategy.
  • Develop, drive, and implement the execution of each business unit's talent agenda, focusing on development initiatives, including workforce planning, performance management, selection, and retention strategies, while continually upgrading the talent pool across all lines of the business.
  • Lead or facilitate conflict management process, including consulting, providing training, and conducting investigations. According to circumstances, may provide guidance and recommendations, implementation, and follow-up on conflict resolution strategies.
  • Maintain responsibility for the organization's compliance with Philippine Labor Law.
  • Provide support in developing and implementing comprehensive, competitive, and cost-effective compensation and benefit plans for the organization.
  • Responsible for onboarding all new resources through Deel, our employer of record.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with Deel account management.
  • Lead succession planning and professional development plans, identify and assist management by recommending solutions to capability gaps within the organization. Implement action plans regarding matters related to cultural change, employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and talent management.
  • Offer valuable advice, guidance, and influence the management team on employee relations matters, including labor law and company policies. Investigate any labor law concerns, provide recommendations, and implement solutions based on the investigation process. Lastly, prepare a summary report on employee relations issues.
  • Responsible for identifying and anticipating potential problems of varied complexity, assessing risks, recommending effective solutions, and participating in the creation of ongoing corrective measures to ensure resolution.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits.
  • Provide support to global HR initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, business administration, Communications or related field, five or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA or Human Resources-related advanced degree preferred.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Strong HR Generalist skills.
  • Strong business understanding and ability to contribute to business strategy and operations.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years HR Management experience.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with an emphasis on time-management; must have the ability to plan, organize, and implement various activities with ease.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using HR Systems preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple competing tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, hear, and speak for lengthy periods to ensure effective communication with team members and clients, with or without accommodation.

  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
