About the Company
Position Title: HR Generalist
Reports to: HR Manager
Type: Full-time
Schedule: 10PM – 6AM
Location: Hybrid
About the Role
The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing employee relations, timekeeping and attendance management, HR administration, performance management, HR policies and compliance, employee engagement and support, and reporting and HR analytics.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations
- Handle employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues professionally and objectively.
- Conduct and document employee relations activities, including incident investigations, coaching, Notices to Explain (NTEs), disciplinary actions, and case documentation.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and HR practices.
- Ensure proper and timely documentation of employee-related cases and actions.
- Timekeeping & Attendance Management
- Monitor daily employee attendance, absences, tardiness, undertime, overtime, leaves, and other attendance-related matters.
- Review and validate timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve attendance discrepancies in coordination with employees, managers, Operations, and Payroll.
- Monitor compliance with attendance and timekeeping policies.
- Ensure timely submission and processing of attendance and timekeeping reports for payroll.
- Track and document attendance issues requiring coaching or corrective action.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders regarding attendance concerns that may impact payroll or business operations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance-related transactions and employee movements.
- Identify recurring attendance patterns and provide appropriate HR recommendations to management.
- HR Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files.
- Prepare HR-related documents, reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Monitor employee movements, leaves, status changes, and other employment-related records.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Payroll System and other departments to resolve employee-related concerns.
- Performance Management
- Support the implementation and monitoring of performance management processes.
- Assist managers in addressing performance concerns through coaching, documentation, and appropriate HR interventions.
- Monitor probationary and regularization requirements and ensure timely completion of necessary documentation.
- Provide HR guidance to managers on performance-related concerns.
- HR Policies & Compliance
- Implement and communicate company HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure HR processes are aligned with Philippine labor laws and applicable company policies.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, compliance requirements, and employee cases.
- Employee Engagement & Support
- Assist in planning and implementing employee engagement, recognition, and company activities.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely HR assistance.
- Promote positive employee relations and a professional workplace culture.
- Support HR initiatives aimed at employee retention and engagement.
- Reporting & HR Analytics
- Prepare accurate and timely HR reports and management updates.
- Monitor HR metrics such as headcount, attrition, absenteeism, tardiness, attendance trends, employee movements, and other relevant indicators.
- Prepare regular attendance and timekeeping reports for management review.
- Ensure all reports and HR data are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy before submission.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of relevant HR Generalist experience, preferably in a BPO, RPO, shared services, or fast-paced outsourcing environment.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end HR processes and Philippine labor practices.
- Experience in employee relations, HR administration, timekeeping and attendance management, performance management, and HR documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/timekeeping systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
