Job Description

Job Summary

The HR / Admin Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of human resources operations in compliance with Philippine labor laws and company policies. This role is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, and ensuring compliance with regulations set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other government agencies.

In addition to this, the HR / Admin Manager should also manage the administrative requirements of the company, which include the following: handling vendor relationships, maintaining a clean working environment, managing office equipment, organizing, arranging, and coordinating meetings and internal events, coordinating with management, and engaging in planning according to the needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies
  • Manage end-to-end hiring process (posting, screening, interviewing, onboarding)
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast manpower requirements
  • Strengthen employer branding initiatives
  • Employee Relations
  • Address employee concerns and grievances
  • Facilitate disciplinary procedures in accordance with the Philippine Labor Code
  • Promote a positive workplace culture
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Ensure compliance with statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
  • Review and recommend compensation structures
  • Training & Development
  • Identify training needs through performance reviews and skills gap analysis
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs
  • Implement performance appraisal systems
  • Support leadership development initiatives
  • Compliance & Policy Management
  • Ensure company compliance with the Philippine Labor Laws and DOLE regulations
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures
  • HR Strategy & Reporting
  • Develop HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Prepare HR reports for management
  • Monitor HR metrics (turnover rate, absenteeism, engagement, etc.)
  • Recommend strategic improvements based on HR data
  • Employee Engagement & Culture Development

Design and implement employee engagement programs and initiatives

Conduct employee engagement surveys and analyze results

Develop action plans to improve morale, retention, and workplace satisfaction

Lead employee recognition and rewards programs

Organize company events, team-building activities, and wellness programs

Foster open communication between management and employees

Monitor employee feedback channels and recommend improvements

Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

Support internal communication strategies to promote transparency

Work hand in hand with the CDP consultant

  • Administrative Tasks
  • Process Improvement: Developing and implementing office procedures and systems to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
  • Facility Maintenance: Managing office equipment, coordinating repairs, and ensuring the physical workspace meets health, safety, and security standards.
  • Supply Management: Monitoring inventory and procuring necessary office supplies, from stationery to kitchen stock.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
  • A Master's Degree is an advantage
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of HR experience
  • At least 23 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws and DOLE regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and technological know-how
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications
  • Strong analytical, planning, and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)
  • Member of PMAP (People Management Association of the Philippines
