We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Aged Care / Community Care Claims Specialist to support funding claims and reporting processes within the Australian aged care sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submission of claims related to government-funded aged care and community care services.
This role requires hands-on experience with aged care funding systems, claims processing, and reporting tools used within Australian government-funded care programs.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Prepare, process, and submit funding claims for aged care and community care services.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of claims in line with Australian government funding requirements.
- Support end-to-end claims processing, including validation of service delivery data.
- Maintain and update records related to claims, funding, and service activity.
- Work closely with care teams, finance teams, and operations to ensure correct claimable services are captured.
- Generate and submit reports using government reporting systems such as the DEX Portal .
- Monitor claim outcomes, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on rejected or pending claims.
- Ensure adherence to program guidelines for Support at Home packages and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) funding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aged care funding rules and reporting requirements.
Essential / Requirements
- Experience working in or with an Australian Aged Care or Community Care organisation.
- Proven hands-on experience in claims processing, funding submissions, or claims support functions.
- Strong understanding of Support at Home packages and/or CHSP-funded programs
- Experience using the DEX (Data Exchange) Portal for reporting or data submissions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
- Experience working with structured data, reporting, or administrative systems in healthcare or community services.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work with high-volume transactional processes.
