Job Description

We are the shared services arm of OMRON, supporting our global operations through efficient and reliable service delivery. We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team and work closely with international stakeholders to help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The role is accountable for the accurate, consistent, and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with globally defined accounting standards, processes, and templates. This accountability ensures reliability, comparability, and audit readiness of financial data across multiple legal entities.

The role is also accountable for supporting a harmonized month-end and year-end close by executing standardized workflows, meeting defined close timelines, and collaborating effectively with regional and global stakeholders. In addition, the role holds accountability for contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, reducing manual activities, and improving data quality—supporting the evolution of a scalable, efficient, and digitally enabled finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute standardized journal entries, accruals, and accounting adjustments in line with global accounting policies and close timelines
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution of reconciliation issues
  • Support regional and global month-end and year-end close activities, adhering to defined close schedules, quality standards, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, documentation requirements, and audit standards, maintaining accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Partner with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders to deliver consistent and reliable financial outcomes
  • Identify and support process standardization, automation, and system enhancement initiatives (e.g., RPA, workflow tools) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data quality
  • Provide timely support for ad hoc accounting, reporting, analysis, and audit-related requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of global best practices and standardized ways of working

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial accounting, GL, or Record-to-Report (R2R), preferably in a shared services or multinational environment
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and strong Excel skills
  • Exposure to automation, process improvement, or digital finance initiatives is an advantage
  • High attention to detail, strong accountability, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
  • Ability to handle ad hoc accounting, reporting, and audit-related requests
