Conduct geological characterization of mine slopes and work closely with the client to collect field data which may aid in the slope stability assessment. This includes verifying rock types, seepages, and geologic structures with reference to the models provided by the client.
Assist in the selection of appropriate strength parameters to be used for slope stability analysis.
Work closely with the Geotechnical Engineers and Geologist in conducting the slope stability analysis and risk assessment.
Prepare daily monitoring report and monthly geotechnical analysis reports which include field observations, details of strength parameters considered, results of the slope stability analysis, and evaluation of cut-slope design provided by the client.
Undertake daily site duties for 3 weeks on-site, 1 week vacation roster schedule.
