General Manager (Pioneer Role)
A Michelin Bib Gourmandrecognized restaurant concept, celebrated for its bold and authentic Vietnamese cuisine, is launching in the Philippines and seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its first market entry.
This is a pioneer leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for the launch strategy and execution of the brand in the Philippines. The role offers a rare opportunity to help shape the local business from day one, work closely with ownership, and receive immersive training in Canada to fully understand the brand, systems, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pre-opening, launch, and stabilization of the restaurant, including strategy execution and readiness planning.
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and service excellence.
- Drive financial management, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing founding team aligned with brand standards.
- Establish and optimize operational systems covering staffing, inventory, food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
- Champion exceptional guest experiences and uphold Michelin-level service standards.
- Partner closely with ownership on growth plans, performance improvement, and future expansion.
- Serve as the local custodian of the brand's culture, values, and hospitality philosophy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader in high-volume restaurant environments (150+ seats preferred).
- Demonstrated success in pre-opening or launch roles is a strong advantage.
- Strong people leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
- Hands-on, resilient, and decisive under pressure.
- Comfortable using technology and systems to drive efficiency.
- Experience with Vietnamese cuisine or Michelin-recognized concepts is an advantage, but not required.
