General Accountant
Reporting to: Accounting/Accounts Payable Supervisor

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- General Accounting
- Maintain and update the general ledger.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Prepare schedules and reports required by management.
- Accounts Management
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of expenses.
- Assist in payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
- Compliance & Taxation
- Assist in tax preparation and filing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
- Assist in system enhancements and automation initiatives.
a Bit About You
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent. CPA, Post Graduate studies a plus.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the BPO/call center/shared services or any related field is required for this position.
- Must be PC proficient. Experience with Workday system is a plus.
- Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
