General Accountant

Reporting to: Accounting/Accounts Payable Supervisor

We're an award-winning global outsourcer providing contact center and back-office services on behalf of our global clients. As a General Accountant, your role is vital in contributing to our organization's growth and success.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE

The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Accounting
  • Maintain and update the general ledger.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Prepare schedules and reports required by management.
  • Accounts Management
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval of expenses.
  • Assist in payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Taxation
  • Assist in tax preparation and filing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Process Improvement
  • Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Assist in system enhancements and automation initiatives.

a Bit About You

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent. CPA, Post Graduate studies a plus.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the BPO/call center/shared services or any related field is required for this position.
  • Must be PC proficient. Experience with Workday system is a plus.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with high stress tolerance
