Job Summary
The Franchise Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the operational excellence, brand consistency, and profitability of all franchised bakeshop branches. This role oversees franchise performance, provides operational guidance, ensures compliance with company standards, and supports franchisees in driving sales, improving customer experience, and maintaining product quality. The ideal candidate is experienced in food retail, franchise management, or multibranch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Franchise Management & Performance
- Oversee daytoday operations of franchised bakeshop outlets to ensure consistent quality and compliance with company standards
- Monitor sales performance, store profitability, and operational KPIs
- Conduct regular branch visits, audits, and evaluations
- Support franchisees in achieving revenue targets and resolving operational challenges
Operational Excellence
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control measures, and hygiene standards across all franchise branches
- Ensure product consistency across stores, including preparation, display, service, and customer handling
- Recommend improvements in processes, workflows, and store operations
Training & Development
- Provide operational training to franchisees and their staff upon opening and on an ongoing basis
- Coordinate with training teams to ensure updated modules for food handling, customer service, and store operations
- Mentor and coach franchise teams to improve performance
Franchise Onboarding & Expansion
- Assist in the onboarding and opening of new franchise storessite validation, store setup, staffing, and initial training
- Work closely with the franchise development team to ensure readiness for new franchisees
- Support expansion strategy by providing operational insights and identifying growth opportunities
CrossFunctional Coordination
- Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance to ensure seamless franchise operations
- Coordinate with the production or commissary team to address supply issues or quality concerns
- Communicate operational updates, promotions, marketing programs, and product launches to franchisees
Customer Experience
- Ensure franchise branches consistently deliver excellent customer service
- Track customer feedback and work with franchisees to address service issues
- Lead initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and store experience
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise agreements, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare operational reports, sales summaries, improvement recommendations, and action plans
- Conduct periodic franchise business reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Food Technology, or related field
- At least 35 years of experience in franchise operations, food retail management, or multistore operations
- Experience in a bakeshop, F&B, or retail food chains is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of franchise models and store operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationshipbuilding skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Willing to travel for store visits as needed
