Unlock Your Potential!

At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients in the accounting and specialized engineering sectors.

As a Fire Services Designer, you are a critical guardian of life safety and infrastructure integrity. This role is designed for a technical expert capable of delivering fire protection solutions-including sprinklers, hydrants, smoke detection, and EWIS-to the exact professional standards of the Australian construction industry. You won't just be drafting; you will be engineering BIM-compliant models that ensure complex commercial and industrial projects meet the most rigorous safety codes.

Your Impact

  • High-Stakes Technical Design: Produce comprehensive shop and design drawings in strict accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia and relevant Australian Standards (AS 2118, AS 2419, AS 1670). You will transform design intent into precise engineering documentation.

  • BIM & Model Excellence: Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce high-fidelity BIM LOD 500 models. You will manage submissions within the Autodesk Cloud and Procore ecosystems, ensuring that digital twins accurately reflect real-world fire service installations.

  • Full Lifecycle Documentation: From initial design drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) to final As-Built documentation, you own the technical deliverable. You will manage client RFIs and conduct final design reviews to ensure every project is accurate, informed, and complete.

  • Project & Data Management: Monitor project correspondence and databases using Aconex or Procore to ensure all milestones and timelines are achieved. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and Design Leads to navigate high-pressure delivery schedules.

  • Safety & Quality Advocacy: Actively promote a safe workplace and adhere to Environmental and Quality Management systems. You will participate in audits and ensure that all hydraulic calculations and design results support the project's overarching safety goals.

What You Bring

  • The Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in the fire services industry, specifically within commercial, industrial, mining, or resources sectors. You have a proven track record of applying Australian Standards in live project environments.

  • Technical Mastery: Exceptional knowledge of Autodesk Revit and hydraulic calculation software. You are proficient in designing fire sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, smoke detectors, and Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS).

  • The Credentials: Tertiary Engineering qualification or a relevant trade certificate. You must possess a deep understanding of AS 2118 (Sprinklers), AS 2419 (Hydrants), and AS 1670 (Detection).

  • Project Management Toolkit: Highly computer literate with experience in document management software like Procore or Aconex. You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a heavy workload independently.

  • Communication Prowess: Excellent verbal and written English skills. You are a self-motivated team player who can communicate effectively with onshore Australian teams and global stakeholders.

Why You'll Love It Here

We believe in rewarding high achievers with a work environment that fuels both professional growth and personal well-being.

  • Elite Technical Exposure: Work on sophisticated Australian infrastructure projects, utilizing advanced BIM workflows and specialized fire engineering technology.

  • Health & Security: Comprehensive HMO and Life Insurance coverage from day one.

  • Wealth & Growth: Competitive salary with annual performance reviews and a clear roadmap to Senior Designer or Design Management roles.

  • Day Shift Stability: Enjoy a 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule that provides excellent work-life balance.

  • The Hub Experience: Work from our modern Clark facility, designed for high performance and collaboration.
