ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance Controller plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the financial health, integrity, and sustainability of the organization. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance while partnering with business leaders to support strategic decision-making. The Finance Controller ensures accurate financial management, strong governance, and scalable financial processes that enable business growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

A. Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with senior leadership to support business strategy through financial insights and analysis
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Provide timely, accurate financial reports to support executive and board-level decision-making

B. Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies

C. Controls, Risk & Governance

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance and audit requirements

D. Business Partnering & Cost Management

  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to department heads
  • Analyze cost structures, margins, and operational efficiencies
  • Drive cost control initiatives while supporting growth and investment decisions

E. Team & Process Excellence

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
  • Improve financial systems, processes, and reporting automation
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and process efficiency across finance operations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred)
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controllership roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, food & beverage, or manufacturing is an advantage
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence decision-making
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach
