We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Cebu. In this entry-level role, you will be instrumental in preparing, maintaining, and validating financial data and reports that underpin sound decision-making. This position offers a strong foundation in core financial processes and is ideally suited for an early-career professional who is eager to develop hands-on expertise in financial reporting, data analysis, and best practices within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
Report Architect: Prepare recurring financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis using predefined templates, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to stakeholders.
Variance Vigilance: Perform basic variance analysis by identifying and flagging material differences between actuals and budget or forecast figures for review by senior team members.
Model Custodian: Update and maintain Excel-based financial models and reporting files in accordance with established guidelines, preserving data integrity and structural consistency.
Data Aggregator: Compile and organize financial data from multiple sources to support reporting requirements, ensuring all inputs are complete, accurate, and properly formatted.
Metrics Monitor: Assist in tracking revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics through standardized reports, contributing to the team's visibility over financial performance.
Package Preparer: Support the preparation of reporting packages for managers by gathering, formatting, and presenting financial data in a clear and structured manner.
Reconciliation Champion: Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information across all reporting outputs.
Responsive Executor: Execute routine and ad hoc data requests as directed by the finance team, demonstrating reliability and adherence to defined timelines.
Process Steward: Follow documented processes and contribute to maintaining clear, organized, and up-to-date financial documentation in line with team standards.
Issue Identifier: Identify and escalate data discrepancies or anomalies to the appropriate team members promptly, supporting the integrity of financial operations.
What You Bring
Academic Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, providing a solid theoretical grounding in financial principles and practices.
Practical Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis within a structured organizational environment.
Statements Savvy: A solid understanding of core financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, and their interrelationships.
Excel Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization, with the ability to work accurately across large datasets.
Detail Discipline: Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent track record of delivering accurate, high-quality work even under time-sensitive conditions.
Process Orientation: The ability to follow instructions, operate effectively within structured processes, and maintain consistent output quality across recurring tasks.
Communication Clarity: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and professionally to team members and stakeholders.
Standards Awareness: Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or ISAB is preferred and will be viewed favorably during the selection process.
Industry Insight: Familiarity with IT managed services providers or the broader services industry is an advantage, though not a strict requirement for this role.
