The Opportunity
We are looking for a high‑calibre Accounting Analyst / Senior Accounting Officer to partner closely with our Accounting Head.
This role goes beyond traditional accounting - it plays a critical part in financial analysis, operational insight, process optimisation, and decision support.
You will act as a trusted finance partner to the business, ensuring data integrity while translating numbers into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
Key Responsiblities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of financial and operational reports.
- Produce insightful analysis on financial performance, variances, and trends.
- Prepare executive‑ready summaries and recommendations for management.
- Support budget monitoring, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Business & Operational Support
- Act as a focal point for business analysis across finance and operations.
- Work closely with the Accounting Head and department leaders to improve efficiency and controls.
- Provide data‑driven input to support commercial and strategic decisions.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Support audit readiness and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, refine, and automate reporting and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reporting templates and data structures.
Accounting Operations
- Support and review Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting activities.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 5 years experience across accounting, audit, finance, or business analysis.
- Strong grounding in general accounting, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience interpreting financial data and translating it into insights.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (modelling, analysis, reporting).
- Experience with accounting systems (Xero experience is an advantage).
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication skills - able to explain financial concepts clearly.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally and with senior stakeholders.
- Willing to work onsite in our Cebu City office.
