Financial Analyst

Job Description

Satellite Teams is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial

planning, reporting, and decision-making across Satellite Teams operations. The ideal candidate will work

closely with leadership, operations, and client-facing teams to analyze financial performance, prepare

forecasts, and provide actionable insights that drive sustainable growth.

Job Duties

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Monitor revenue, expenses, margins, and KPIs across clients and teams

• Identify trends, variances, and financial risks, and provide recommendations

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

• Track budget performance and flag discrepancies

• Support workforce and cost modeling for new and existing client accounts

Operational & Client Support

• Analyze profitability by client, role, and team structure

• Support pricing models, cost allocations, and margin optimization

• Partner with operations to improve financial efficiency of remote teams

Data & Process Improvement

• Build financial models and dashboards (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools)

• Improve accuracy and efficiency of reporting processes

• Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with internal controls

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role

• Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, modeling)

• Solid understanding of financial statements and budgeting principles

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience working with remote teams or service-based businesses

• Familiarity with workforce cost modeling or staffing economics

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks)

• Background in outsourcing, BPO, or offshore staffing industries
