Position : Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller with daily, month end and year end account processing and reporting. Primarily the role will involve journal processing, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis to ensure transactions are recorded in a timely & accurately manner in each period.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Work closely with AP and AR teams to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely & accurate manner
  • Ownership of journal posting, month end close and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Managing the general ledger including inter-company reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports, internal management reports
  • Review of financial reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Assisting with preparation of year end general purpose Financial Statements
  • Key audit contact and coordination of year-end audit process
  • Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting
  • Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives
  • Ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business
  • CPA or equivalent qualified
  • Minimum 5-year experience in a similar role
  • Excel Advanced level required
  • Good spoken English
  • Ideally had experience with retail / FMCG (specifically dealing with inventory).
  • Worked with Australian businesses.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics systemsAll versions from the cloud through to the legacy versions we use operate on a similar basis.
