Prepare financial reports, analysis and audits as required, and ensure deadlines are met
Responsible for the month end completion of business departments as well as tax compliance activities. This includes bank reconciliations, end of month journals, balance sheet reconciliations and BAS lodgements.
Analyse monthly results
Assist with the completion of budgets and forecasts
Assist with the year-end external audit process
Enhance financial policies and systems to improve efficiency and governance
Work on other finance projects as required
Collaborate closely with other departments to support financial aspects of business operations
Be the first point of contact and business partner for business units on all financial matters
Investigate variances to budget and forecast
Identify opportunities to reduce costs
Position Requirements
Qualifications/ licences/certificates/training
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
Demonstrated experience in the relevant field
Professional certification required
Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Experience working in a multi-entity business with multiple profit centres and departments

Experience and Technical Competencies
At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency with accounting software.
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to handle various and multiple functions simultaneously, including the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
Proven IT skills in Microsoft Word, databases and Excel, with the ability to learn other software systems as required.
Desirable:
Experiences with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning software.
Experience in an Australian business with working exposure to direct and indirect taxes.
Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
Audit experience working in Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
