Job Title: Accounting Manager
Work Setup: Onsite, 4x a week (Las Pias)
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Headcount: 120 employees
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reports. This role will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to support compliance, budgeting, and overall financial health. The ideal candidate has strong leadership capability, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach suited to a lean organization.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, and payroll oversight.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standards.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Audit, Compliance & Tax
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial and regulatory audits.
- Oversee compliance with BIR regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review tax filings, statutory reports, and government requirements.
Process Improvement & Systems Management
- Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy within a lean setup.
- Support the implementation or enhancement of accounting systems/tools.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist the CFO in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor members of the accounting team.
- Develop capability within the team to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
- At least 57 years of progressive experience in accounting; with minimum 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Experience working in a lean or growing organization is an advantage.
- Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
