Job Description


Finance Manager focuses on managing an organization's financial records, compliance, reporting, and internal controls. This role blends accounting accuracy with financial oversight and strategic support.

TASKS:

1.Financial and Tax Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and BIR Filings

Ensure accuracy of Balance Sheet, Income Statement (P&L), Cash Flow Statement and other financial statements

Comply with accounting standards and tax regulations

2.Budgeting & Forecasting

Help develop annual budgets

Monitor actual performance vs. budget

Prepare financial forecasts

Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions

3.General Ledger & Accounting Operations

Oversee General ledger maintenance, Accounts payable & receivable, Payroll accounting

Ensure accurate journal entries

Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes

4.Compliance & Internal Controls

Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations

Maintain strong internal control systems

Coordinate internal and external audits

Identify and mitigate financial risks

5.Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise accounting staff
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Coordinate with departments (HR, Operations, Procurement)
  • Improve accounting processes and systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountingwith a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance such as Financial reporting, Budgeting & forecasting, and Audit coordination.
  • Highly preferred if with certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CertifiedFinancialAccountant(CFA)
  • Preferably a Filipino citizen with familiarity or experience working with government agencies such as the Philippine Sports Commission or other sports-related organizations

Technical skills:

Financial statement preparation

Budgeting & forecasting

Tax compliance knowledge

Financial analysis

ERP/accounting software proficiency (preferably in Quickbooks)

Advanced Excel skills
