Finance Manager

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, optimize cash flow, and drive strategic planning.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM AEST, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain the company's cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational continuity
• Develop and refine the operating model to support strategic business planning and decision-making
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes in coordination with the internal bookkeeper and finance assistant
• Prepare and deliver accurate end-of-month financial reports and statements
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure proper recording and reconciliation on a month-to-month basis
• Identify financial risks and inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements
• Take ownership of the company's financial health and reporting cadence
• Support leadership with financial insights and data-driven recommendations
• Ensure compliance with financial best practices and internal processes

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience in finance management or a related senior financial role
• Strong understanding of cash flow management, financial modeling, and AP/AR processes
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
