With more than 50 years of global experience and decades of operations across Southeast Asia, the company delivers innovative ground engineering solutions for highways, airports, ports, commercial buildings, and energy infrastructure projects. The company's office is based in Makati.

Job Summary: 

As the Deputy Finance Manager, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the daily finance and administrative operations of the company in the Philippines. This role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, treasury activities, and operational finance execution across ongoing projects and corporate operations.

You will act as a key support to the Finance Manager while ensuring accurate financial processes, strong internal controls, and smooth coordination with auditors, consultants, banks, and operational teams. The role requires a hands-on finance professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a developing and fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations and ensuring sound financial management.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure accurate accounting records, reconciliations, and closing activities.
  • Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor project budgets, overhead costs, and analyze budget variances.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and funding requirements.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities.
  • Support banking operations, payments, and cash forecasting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and statutory reporting with external consultants.
  • Support internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and internal departments.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and strengthen finance procedures and controls.
  • Supervise and guide finance team members when delegated.
  • Act as the Finance Manager's backup during their absence.
  • Prepare financial analysis and reports for management meetings and operational discussions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CPA qualification is highly preferred.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, cost control, or FP&A.
  • Background in Big Four audit firms or international companies is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently in a developing and fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment with international reporting lines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
