Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • Commercial Analyst as business partner to country manager operational finance
  • Manage timely and quality financial report and forecast.

Key Accountabilities: (Key Responsibility)

Commercial Business Analysis and Partnering

  • Maintain a close understanding of the business drivers and financial performance of the business unit, including brand, channel and key customer performance.
  • Providing a high quality financial resource, responsible for reporting and analyzing financial and commercial data and recommending to Management relevant financial information for better decision making.
  • Act as an active member of a cross functional team, support the new business or products development process with a focus on financial viability.
  • Assist Trade & Sales team in channel price analysis, to ensure pricing decisions can be made quickly and pricing strategy enforced.
  • provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping a record.
  • Co operate with accounting team in Thailand and any third party accounting service to ensure accurate accounting record and report.
  • Co ordinate with distributor, co-manufacturing or licensee partners and support them relate to accounting/finance inquires ie payment deal, internal payment process.
  • Keep track on budget and committed spending, ensure no overspend and with proper authorization.
  • Tracking actual payment against plan and inform related business partners on monthly basis.
  • Be able to understand basic contract and payment conditions.
  • Able to communicate and point out issue finding with risks and opportunities of the overall trade and A&P spending summary with Country manager and Head of Finance with suggested corrective action.
  • Continue improve quality of trade spending and distributor claim control.
  • Have awareness of the ABF Financial Control Framework and immediately bring to the attention of the Country manager and Finance manager if any control deficiencies or process weakness are identified.

Person Specification: (Person profile, education, experience, knowledge/ skill)

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience including commercial finance.
  • Experience working with FMCG is an advantage.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excellence in Systematic, Logical & Analytical Skills
  • Self-discipline, fast learning, responsible, enthusiastic, supportive and team-player attitude.
  • Systematic, logical, analytical thinking with commercial mindset.
  • Manage time effectively. Identify and plan resources to carry out tasks as well as monitor own and other progress.
  • Detail-oriented, fast-learning and committed to meet deadline.
  • Can articulate and explain complex ideas and concepts to others. Able to state opposing opinions and arguments clearly.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
