Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time, in-house FileMaker Developer to join a growing DevOps team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building innovative business applications using FileMaker, solving complex technical issues, and continuously improving system performance and design.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and highly analytical, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize solutions. You will play a key role in developing custom applications that support both internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain highly customized FileMaker solutions.
- Work on development projects of varying size and complexity, including support of other business-critical applications.
- Design, test, and deploy API solutions across diverse platforms and ecosystems.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and IT strategy sessions.
- Debug and resolve system issues while improving performance and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while also managing independent tasks.
- Prioritize and manage daily, weekly, and monthly development goals in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with FileMaker Pro (v13 or higher), including:
- Relational database design
- Scripting
- Reporting
- UI/UX design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environments
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of database design and cross-platform implementation
- Exceptional organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- FileMaker certification
- Experience with web technologies such as:
- XML, PHP, JSON
- HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
- AWS, SSL, and general web stack
- Experience with SQL and/or .NET
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint
