Job Responsibilities & Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with expertise in Cloud, DevOps, and automation technologies, focusing primarily on cloud-based infrastructure while maintaining traditional network systems where necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and integrating Cisco routers, switches, and Checkpoint firewalls, with the main focus on cloud infrastructure deployments, automation, and DevOps practices. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, and OCI/Azure/AWS are required.

A strong background in automation using tools like Terraform is essential to streamline network and cloud infrastructure provisioning. While SDWAN knowledge is beneficial, the role will primarily focus on managing and optimizing hybrid cloud environments, ensuring high performance and reliability across the organization's cloud and on-premises systems. The role includes on-call responsibilities to support the operational continuity of critical cloud and network systems.

This position requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and the ability to collaborate with DevOps and development teams to automate and manage network solutions. The successful candidate will focus on executing automation and modernizing network infrastructure towards a cloud-first approach.

Your Key Tasks

Network Infrastructure Design & Management:

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud and traditional LAN/WAN environments, including Cisco routers, switches, and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Automate network configuration and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Perform routine monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of cloud and traditional network environments to ensure high availability.
• Manage disaster recovery plans, capacity planning, and overall network performance for both cloud and on-premises systems.

Cloud and DevOps Integration:

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring seamless integration with existing network environments.
• Automate cloud deployments using Terraform and other automation tools to streamline cloud and on-premises operations.
• Execute cloud migration strategies, ensuring smooth integration with traditional networking systems.

Network Automation:

• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies using tools like Terraform to automate network provisioning and management for both cloud and traditional infrastructure.
• Focus on reducing manual configuration tasks through automation and streamlining the infrastructure deployment process.

On-Call Support & Operations:

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical cloud and network issues, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
• Diagnose and resolve high-priority network and cloud performance issues, working with internal teams to minimize downtime.

Security & Compliance:

• Manage the security of network and cloud devices, including Checkpoint firewalls, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
• Perform regular security assessments and implement best practices across both cloud and traditional network environments.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with system administrators, developers, and project managers to support a cloud-first IT environment, integrating both cloud and traditional networking solutions.
• Communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through documentation and presentations.

Documentation & Process Improvement:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud and network infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and technical processes.
• Continuously assess and improve cloud and network operations, focusing on automation, efficiency, and best practices.

Qualifications

Certifications:

• CCNA / CCNP
• OCI / Azure / AWS
• Terraform

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Checkpoint firewalls, and cloud platforms (particularly OCI).
• Proficiency in automating cloud and network infrastructure using Terraform.
• Experience in hybrid cloud network management, SDWAN integration (preferred but not essential), and disaster recovery planning.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of network and cloud infrastructure design, including LAN/WAN, cloud platforms, and automation tools.
• Excellent documentation, diagramming, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
