Facilities Administrator Description
The Facilities Administrator oversees the upkeep, maintenance, and improvement of GEM Corporations manufacturing plant and office facilities. Reporting to the HR Department, this role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and support services operate efficiently and safely to meet production and employee needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise building maintenance, construction projects, and renovations
- Manage major and minor building repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural needs
- Oversee parking areas, security access, and safety compliance
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
- Monitor facilities budget, maintenance schedules, and service contracts
- Maintain records of repairs, permits, and safety inspections in accordance with Philippine building and labor standards
- Support HR initiatives for workplace safety and employee comfort
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in facilities or building administration, preferably in manufacturing or food processing
- Knowledge of Philippine building codes, occupational safety regulations, and vendor management
- Strong organizational, budgeting, and project-management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and render overtime when required
