ROLE OVERVIEW

You own the execution of backend and ETL data workflows that ensure information moves accurately through our client's systems. This role exists to support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data, providing the foundational reliability needed for complex data-driven operations.

This is not a passive coding role. You operate within a structured delivery environment, identifying data gaps, debugging issues, and following documented validation standards to maintain 100% data integrity. Best suited for early-career professionals or career shifters who are comfortable learning on the job, value technical precision, and prefer a structured day-shift environment where quality and accuracy are the primary metrics of success.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• 12 years of experience in software development, data engineering support, or ETL-related work (including relevant internships)
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to write and understand basic queries
• Exposure to ETL concepts, specifically the mechanics of data extraction, validation, and loading into target systems
• Analytical Mindset: A strong ability to follow documented processes while remaining alert to data quality issues or debugging needs

Strong Signals

• Previous experience with data automation tools or backend script development
• A background in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field
• Demonstrated ability to self-teach new platforms and cloud technologies quickly

ETL Execution & Data Integrity

You own the reliability of the data pipeline, ensuring that every transformation follows strict quality standards.

• Execute daily data extraction and transformation tasks following established protocols
• Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure accuracy before loading into production systems
• Document data workflows and maintain metadata logs to ensure traceability

Backend Support & Troubleshooting

You are accountable for the continuity of data workflows, resolving technical noise before it impacts the client.

• Support backend development tasks and maintenance of data-driven applications
• Identify, debug, and resolve minor code or data errors within the pipeline
• Assist senior developers in refactoring scripts for better performance or scalability

Process Optimization & Learning

You act as a proactive learner, scaling your technical skills to support evolving client requirements.

• Follow and update internal SOPs for data management and validation
• Adapt to new cloud technologies and ETL platforms as required by the project scope
• Communicate progress and potential risks clearly to the client-facing delivery team
