Under the supervision of the ETL Manager, this position is responsible for developing and delivering quality modules, tools and applications to support Envirosite operations. This position requires basic programming skills and understanding of relational databases
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers the requirements and specifications of the assigned module, tool, or application.
- Assesses the simplicity/complexity of the requirement.
- Creates wireframe, storyboard, prototype, or mock-up if and when necessary.
- Collaborates with DBAs if there is a need to connect to one or more databases.
- Researches for and evaluates software or hardware that may simplify the code or improve the performance.
- Develops the assigned module, tool, or application using any or a combination of prescribed development software.
- Runs unit test manual or script-driven, prior to endorsing for quality check/assurance.
- Commits source code to the prescribed code repository.
- Edits, compiles, de-bugs and re-compiles/re-builds the code every after unit testing or regression testing.
- Provides demo to end-users as a form of user acceptance.
- Provides end-user training during launch.
- Provides technical assistance; responds to inquiries/questions or address errors/problems encountered by end-users.
- Performs root-cause analysis for bugs, and provides appropriate fix.
- Facilitates or assists in the documentation.
- Adheres to programming and development standards industry and company-prescribed.
- Performs demo or code walkthrough during quality check or during coaching, training or mentoring another member of the development team.
- Uses prescribed workflow monitoring tool and document management systems, such as but not limited to, Kanban Board, Alfresco, EDMS, and any other similar systems.
- Leads or participates to focus group sessions after every launch or release to exchange ideas.
- Ensures compliance to company rules and regulations.
- Ensures compliance of all Non-Conformity Corrective Action Preventive Action Concessions (NCAPACs) and all other audit findings within the prescribed period.
- Reports security incidents and/or any identified security weaknesses.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related courses.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience in Information Technology or software development.
