Estimator
Salary Range: $866 to 1,213 per month
Join a growing painting and wallpaper company working on complex commercial and residential projects across the region. In this role, you'll turn architectural plans into detailed measurements that shape accurate project estimates. If you're detail-obsessed, comfortable with plans, and want to contribute meaningfully to high-end builds, this could be your perfect fit.
What You'll Do:
- Review architectural and spec plans to identify surfaces requiring painting, wallpapering, or finishing.
- Use measurement software to calculate square footage, door counts, trim lengths, and other material needs.
- Prepare detailed spreadsheets itemizing quantities, surface types, materials, and finishes for each area of a project.
- Differentiate between areas requiring different treatments (e.g., paint vs. woodwork vs. wallpaper).
- Extract and interpret data from spec books, including paint types, color codes, and finish materials.
- Coordinate with the team via Slack and other platforms to receive project files and submit completed takeoffs.
- Make adjustments to estimates as changes occur throughout the project.
- Assist with additional administrative or estimating-related tasks when workload allows.
Who You'll Work With:
Collaborate closely with the lead estimator and join a small but dedicated team focused on bringing precision to every project. You'll communicate frequently over Slack and other tools to deliver top-tier estimating support that helps keep timelines and budgets on track.
Who We're Looking For:
- Plan Reading Skills: Must have 2+ years experience in reading architectural plans. Must be able to learn to read spec books.
- Detail-Oriented: Able to account for all materials, distinguish wall treatments, and avoid costly oversights.
- Strong Work Ethic: Someone who is a hard worker and can meet deadlines within a reasonable amount of time. Makes revisions when needed.
- Math & Spatial Reasoning: Strong in calculations, measurements, and understanding building layouts.
- Experience: Takeoff/Estimating experience in any industry is a plus, especially in dealing with interior fits like floor and walls, but not necessary.
- Adaptable: Comfortable learning company-specific takeoff processes and adapting to varied project types.
Why Join Us

- Culture: Join a detail-driven team that values precision, flexibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Benefits:
- Enjoy preset salary growth and weekly salary payments.
