Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Lighting Estimator to join our remote team and support U.S.-based commercial lighting projects. The ideal candidate has experience in lighting or electrical estimating, a strong grasp of lighting systems and layouts, and the ability to produce precise takeoffs and material estimates. This role involves close coordination with U.S. teams to ensure accurate and cost-effective lighting solutions are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural plans, specifications, and drawings for commercial lighting projects.
- Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with internal U.S.-based teams to clarify requirements and deliverables.
- Recommend value engineering options and cost-effective lighting solutions where applicable.
- Ensure documentation and estimates meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial lighting or electrical estimating.
- Solid understanding of lighting fixtures, controls, and layout requirements.
- Proficient in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Familiarity with major lighting manufacturers and common U.S. lighting standards.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience working on U.S. commercial construction projects is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable internet connection and personal computer with sufficient specifications.
